Associate in Science in Business Administration
This program provides students with a thorough foundation of fundamental business principles and practices. It prepares students to immediately enter the business field after graduation. Four specializations are available: accounting, entrepreneurship, management and marketing. The accounting specialization prepares students to perform the functions of basic bookkeeping, e.g., accounts/receivable and payable, prepare personal income taxes, use Quick Books Pro to do various accounting applications for small business, and cost projects or products in a manufacturing environment. The entrepreneurship specialization prepares students to open, manage and market their own small business. The management specialization includes instruction in planning, organizing, directing and controlling a business, with emphasis on the knowledge and understanding necessary for managing people and functions. The marketing specialization provides instruction in the areas of marketing, advertising, retailing, management and personal selling as they relate to the business world.
